Australian Society of Music Education is the peek advocacy group for Music Education in Australia. They support research projects and lobby Government at all levels.

ACARA
Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority are tasked with the development of a new Australian Curriculum. They are currently completing the first stage of development that includes curriculum for English, Maths, Science and History. The Arts will be part of the 2nd stage of development. MEAG
Music Education Advisory Group was formed in response to the National Review of Music Education 2005. They have informed Music.Count us in campaign, the need for a web portal and other Music Education initiatives. The future of the Advisory Group is uncertain and we await the Federal ministers response.
